Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: F3-F5 Surf / Sea State: flat to bumps Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: warm Max Speed: 22.7 kts (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 19.6 Km (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Arrive late afternoon, and not much action on the water. It looked long bd
wind but, it was short bd or spa for me.
Rigged 9.5 to try on the RRD155 fireride @ 3pm at 3.20 wind was up, lots
of action on the water, with most on large 8.5M / 7.0m sails. Rigged 8.7M
and again de ja vu.
The board took off, over powered like Saturday, and the prospect of another
war with the North sea was a no no...
Came straight back in and rigged 7.7M, and with 3 sails fully rigged was
now frustrated for a sail.
Yep 7.7 spot on comfortable planing as the water was now lumpy, and was
spinning out a lot.
Mastfoot adjustment forward cured that, and had a great sail, gybes OK. GPS
was 22.7 but couldn't find wind and flat water to mess around.
After being hammered saturday this was the cruising days I like. Direction
wasn't great to get long runs in, unless you went thru the river mouth.
The usual regulars out, most on the large sails, planing on /off. Wind died
by 5.00, so a bit disappointed I was too late.
I seemed to have passed my wrong rig bad luck on to Andy J, as he had a
nightmare of faffing and didn't get a decent sail.
De rigging 3 sails was a pain, but just beat DC with 2 formula rigs to pack
up so he was gate keeper :)
4 days sailing took its toll, now stuffed with fathers day meal and 4
beers...... look out for the Frankel and Black Caviar win double at Ascot
nxt wk. its *hit or bust for me...
